In 2008, I completed an artist residency with Carr – Architecture and Interior Design, Melbourne. Inspired by a whimsical upside-down house designed by Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto De Moura, I created a series of four tumbling houses. During the residency I collected comments from Carr staff. The words of the architects became the fabric of the walls of the tumbling houses, while colour was influenced by Mexican architect, Luis Barragan.
